《The Hellbound Heart》里 Frank 盯着 Lemarchand 的盒：there simply seemed to be no way into it. Cenobite 是痛的神学家。收束 Kirsty 仍等着下一道谜：the mending of broken hearts be a puzzle neither wit nor time had the skill to solve. 心是最后的未解拼图。

《Books of Blood》开卷更宽：The dead have highways. 鬼火车跑在残酷裂缝里。合集收束把故事交出去：the telling relieved him of the tale. 然后钉死一句：Only the living are lost. 死者认路，活着的人在迷路。
